This was our first litter of F1 Fox Red Labradoodles from Pippi and Sawyer.
Pippi is an AKC Registered Red Standard Poodle . She is 24" tall at the shoulder and weighs 40 lbs. She is extremely intelligent and learns very quickly. She loves to play hide and seek with her human siblings and perform her tricks (for treats of course!). She has a wonderful temperament and is very loving. She is our beloved family pet.
Sawyer is an AKC Registered Fox Red Labrador weighing 72 pounds and measures 24" at the shoulder. He loves to play ball and swim. He has an amazing temperament and comes from champion hunting lines.
I am a little partial, but they turned out to be the most amazing pups! They are extremely smart and loving and all have wonderful temperaments. Big thanks to their families for keeping in touch and sharing all those adorable photos with us!
It's hard to predict their weight as adults since they are F1 and hybrid vigor can play a huge role in how big they get. By this, I mean that their parents are not accurate predictors of their size and they can and often do grow to be larger than either parent. This litter seems to be split with 3 taking on a slighter poodle build and the other half somewhat heavier boned. My pup is weighing in at 65 lbs at 6 months and is on target to be between 80-90 lbs as an adult. Of course, only time will tell.
Their coats are low maintenance and about half have the scruffy, wavy coat and the other half have a softer, fleece coat. Their fur has a wonderful chinchilla effect with their puppy coats having deep red undertones and white tips. I will be curious to see how they look as adults, but I know they will be beautiful!
